A compilation of photos of Emily for the blog 'Em's twenty somethings'. The photos are in polaroid form, showing a pretty young girl in her twentiesliving her life

Hi! So glad you're here

I have no idea what i'm doing with my life but follow along anyway!!

I would love you to join me on this sporadic, chaotic journey where we can talk about the highs, the lows, the random, the funny, the strange, and the wonderful parts of young adulthood. Social media (as fun and addictive as it is) is a highlight reel (my instagram definitely is), but I think it's time to have honest conversations about what life in your 20s is like.

A little bit about me, I live in Wellington New Zealand, I grew up in Hamilton and I was born in Melbourne, Australia. I love sunny days, I love pop music, I love to read, I love my bed, I love knitwear and dressing cute, I love gold jewellery, I love colourful art, I love my best friends more than anything, I love deep conversations, I love writing (when I don't over think it), I love photobooths, I love biscoff biscuits, I love the ocean, I love thrifting, I love socks, I love lists, I love facetime, I love travelling and seeing new places and I love vegan sausage rolls.

I'm incredibly loud but can come across as shy, I am far too trusting, I would do anything for the people I love, I have the biggest cheesiest smile and I'm deep down a serial optimist.

I have an entire wall in my room decorated with magazine clips and cute posters, my favourite book is called the recollections of my non-existence, I make incredible focaccia, I always have chipped nails, I'm overdue a haircut but want to grow it long to see what I would look like and I am currently lying in bed at 11:45 am on Monday the 24th of April writing to you, instead of going to a lecture.

Okay,

that's enough about me for now!!

This blog is for me but I hope it resonates with someone. I want to share what it's like to grow up in a world that isn't as straightforward as it seems. I hope you can relate in some way. I am not perfect, I may not always get it right but I will always try.

So follow along for my move abroad, the pain of long-distance friendships, flatting, rants about feminism and politics, my day-to-day life, the experience of being a young woman, the process of finding yourself (okay dramatic alert), romantic and platonic love, feeling like you're missing out, fear of the future, mental health, adventures, life at university, my failures, friendship dynamics and so much more along the way!!!

Much love,

Emily xo

Never miss a post ;)
